What is barber booth rental?
Booth rental is when a barber pays a shop a fixed rent (daily, weekly, bi-weekly or monthly) for a chair and keeps what they earn from their own clients. The barber runs their own book, sets their own prices and hours, and the shop provides the space, the chair and the amenities.
What is the difference between booth rent and commission?
With booth rent, the barber pays the shop a set amount and keeps 100% of what their clients pay. With commission, the shop keeps a percentage of each service, and the shop usually has more say over the schedule and the book. Many shops offer both. On BOOTH a shop can list rent plans with a price and commission chairs whose split is worked out with the shop directly.
How do I find a barber chair for rent near me?
Search BOOTH by city at boothapp.co/search or browse boothapp.co/listings. Each listing shows the shop, the address, how many booths are open, and the rental plans with prices (unless the owner keeps rates private, in which case you inquire). You can message the owner, and reserve and pay for a booth on BOOTH.
What should a booth rental agreement include?
The rent and how often it is due, what the rent covers (chair, station, utilities, products, Wi‑Fi), the schedule or access hours, the deposit and how it is returned, notice to leave, and who is responsible for licensing and insurance. On BOOTH an owner can attach a booth agreement to a plan, and the barber signs it on their phone before paying rent.
